Software-as-a-Service – or Cloud Computing – is becoming an increasingly popular option as it continues to move into a broader range of applications and larger, more strategic deployments. Symantec Corporation and the Ponemon Institute research firm have announced the findings of a joint survey of IT professionals. The survey revealed that most organizations lack the procedures, policies and tools to ensure that sensitive information they put in the cloud remains secure.
The Telecoms Cloud Services Summit planned for this Thursday and Friday April 22-23 has had to be cancelled due to the flying restrictions related to the Icelandic volcano. The Mobile World Congress is in full swing in Barcelona this week and NEC used the occasion to announce the extension of their Cloud Computing partnership with Telefonica in Europe to cover Latin America.
The Cloud Computing China Congress (CCCC) will be held on March 25, 2010 in Beijing. The Expo and Conference is being organized by Intlives and Cloud Vision is a media partner for this event.
